Undeading Bells (Fred Book 6)

Drew Hayes Book cover for Undeading Bells (Fred Book 6)

You may recall I mentioned having a bird in the vent a couple weeks back. I had put a temporary cardboard flap over the hole outside and that seemed to have worked. Or it did until the wind took it down. I was able to recover the flap, but didn’t bother putting it back up. I thought maybe the bird had moved on. Nope. It was back today. Long story short…er, the flap is back up.

I got a decent amount of work done last night on the next installment of my puzzle quest. I even got to do a bit of Go programming as I was trying to test out some combinations and permutations for part of the puzzle. In the end I realized that my app would take about 5 years to run, and there was no quarantee that it would even find what I was looking for. I might be able to optimize that down a bit, but I think I’ll just tweak the puzzle so that I don’t need to do that. It was fun to get back into Go for a bit, even if it didn’t bear fruit.

Things I’m grateful for today:

  • Having a bit of a sleep in with the boys
  • The sound of birds who have not invaded my house
  • When new books in a series spend a couple of pages quickly summarizing what has happened up to that point in the series
