Create your own mesh network

Hamilton, Bermuda

I can’t believe it is May already. Where has the time gone? I may not be able to answer that, but I should be able to handle all my time zone needs with the Spacetime library. Maybe working with the data in my TinyBase. In any case enjoy geeking out with these links.

TinyBase

A tiny, reactive JavaScript library for structured state and tabular data. More data tools! If you like relational/tabular data and you need to manage it in your web application, this library might be an option. It supports indexes, various persistence providers, and even data checkpoints. Probably more than one needs for most hobby projects, but worth knowing about.

Tailscale

Tailscale is a zero-config VPN for building secure networks. Install on any device in minutes. Remote access from any network or physical location. This is a bit different than most tools I link as it isn’t development specific but seems like something developers would be interested in. Free for personal use with up to 20 devices. Create a secure-by-default mesh network on top of existing infrastructure.

spacetime

A lightweight javascript timezone library. Whereas Moment Timezone is the incumbent in this space, it is bulky and is often overkill. This is a JS date library with a specific focus on timezones.
