Of Snow

Every Christmas — despite the travel risk it provides — people wish for a big snow fall. And personally I am not going to blame these people. If you have grown up with White Christmas’ then there is nothing quite like it. I used to pity people who lived in the south — people who didn’t know what snow was and never witnessed a white Christmas. Shoveling the driveway yesterday in the -15°C temperature might have turned some of that pity into envy. And although it was another green Christmas, it was still as enjoyable as ever. We did get our snow eventually in the form of a storm system that had the province racing to stock up on water and other provisions for potential power outages. Fortunately — my power didn’t go out, and neither did mike’s. All said though… it definitely looks more like Christmas outside now.
