Off to a very slow start today, but that isn’t a bad thing. I’m surprised this challenge doesn’t have anything related to the amount of sleep people get. I’d lose points there for sure. Normally. But not today. With the kids staying with my parents this weekend while they are on the island, I was able to just sleep in.

But we can’t let something like a vacation stand in the way of wellness! So I’m at the office now, preparing to do some serious walking. I think I might even head down to the gym to walk on the tread mill. Then I can zone about a bit, see if I can try a bit of mindful walking meditation.

Also, while the book I’m recording for today is the one I’m reading as I write this, I just started it, having spent a good amount of time today finishing The Jade Lord which I recorded yesterday. If anyone is interested in LitRPG, this is a good series. If anyone is interested in learning what LitRPG is, talk to me sometime.

Also: still very much hurting from the Thursday workout.

Today I am grateful for the following:

  • My parents
  • My parent’s flights not being cancelled yesterday
  • The convenience of streaming TV

Update

As I mentioned the day started off slowly but an hour on the tread mill got me most of the way there. And it got my heart rate/exercise numbers up too so I’m good for today. Now to relax and not snack. :)
