So the weather over the weekend was a bit grey and that, combined with my focus on cleaning inside meant that while I did get some fresh air via many open windows, I didn’t get outside much. And I didn’t think too much of it, I was getting my steps in, so I didn’t need to go out. But I realize now how important even a few minutes outside are for my spirit. And my vitamin D.

Otherwise, apart from some late nights, I’m feeling pretty well. Certainly better than I was at the end of last year. There are some new aches and pains that pop in occasionally as my body gets used to being more active, but overall things are good.

And while I know this wasn’t a requirement for this competition, I’ve found the act of writing down my thoughts or observations for the day to be very beneficial. Even if no one ends up reading them, I’ve always found the act of creating a blog post to useful in itself. Some days have been challenging to find topics to write about, and there have been days when finding three things I’m grateful for is quite the challenge. All of the memes about being quaratined with young kids are true.

Things I am grateful for:

  • Noise cancelling headphones
  • Sunshine
  • Having a platform to capture my random thoughts
