Coast On Fire: The System Apocalypse #5

Tao Wong Book cover for Coast On Fire: The System Apocalypse #5

I don’t know if I mentioned, but unlike what most people seem to be doing during this period of isolation, I have been dieting. Trying to eat better and less. It hasn’t been as bad as you might think, but one thing I do indulge in is a weekly cheat day where I pretty much go a bit nuts.

And that day is almost always Sunday. The reasons for doing it Sunday are somewhat historic and made somewhat redundant when stuck at home. Despite intentions to eat all sorts of decadent things, I usually don’t because I can’t. Overeating is uncomfortable, and I invariably feel bad on Monday if I over-indulge. So it isn’t as much of a cheat as I could be, and that is a good thing. The purpose is to shock my metabolism, not take me out completely. :)

Anyway, since my scale is at the office, I don’t know how much actual weight I’ve lost, but I’m down a couple of pant sizes (well shorts, I guess). The admittedly minimal exercise I’m getting as part of this challenge is also certainly helping as I’m definitely less sedentary than I was before.

Anyway, time for brownies. ;)

Things I’m grateful for:

  • Cheat day
  • Brownies
  • Leftover Easter candy
