Ignore this... it's me just preping the site for a PHP transition. And just so you know, the new PHP site will not look like this one at all. Not that it matters.

Case Mod

My computer case is currently being overhauled with a new paint job and likely some LEDs and fans to be added in the near future. My case modification page will detail what my plans are as I make them and will also showcase any photos that I take of the process, which will likely be a lot. :)

Have you ever wanted a chrome keyboard? Well, I never thought I did either. And to be exact, it isn’t chrome now, but it is coated with three coats of chrome paint. As you can tell from the picture I did not chrome the keys, but I my mod them in the future. I am actually glad that I didn’t because the paint has a tendancy still to rub off a bit. But all in all, a successful mod.

Also, I am currently redesigning the message.board from the ground up. If you don’t have the Flash 5.0 plug-in then I recommend that you download it soon. The new message.board will be completely Flash based, including the posting of messages and the user control panel.

This new message.board will be a part of my new site design and as such will require all users to be registered with the site in order to post to the message.board. Site registration is already set up on my new site, but the message board is still in early planning stages. If you have any suggestions for the layout or any features you would like to see on the new version of the board, please let me know.

Digital Concussion

The scene is thus: (( digital concussion )) will exist and will bring with it the fresh new beats. Freestyle house with a side of experimental to liven things up a bit. There is a proposed “showing” taking place after Christmas depending on how things shape up. If things can be pulled together then there should be some sample trax by then that you can all check out.

Current State of Affairs

Hot and passionate.

In other news, I am in the process of making full use of university resources and have complete much of the work to create a 80% database driven site. There are some static help pages and the like, but most of the content will be dynamically created by the visitors themselves. Articles, Rants, Electronic Music, and a Digital Design showcase will be some of the early features. Not all the details have been finalized and implemented, but things are looking promising, and some of my early testing is running smoothly.

The benefit of this is two fold. The visitors to my site get a dynamic experience that they can customize and augment so that they find somthing that they like. And on top of that, I will have a way to quickly and easily create pages that I will want for various purposes. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Afterall - You know what you like.

FYI

Gingerbread house scene

My gingerbread house page is still up and as an update… the gingerbread house is actually still in existance. Efforts to consume the house and various parts of the property proved unsuccessful due to the cement like nature of the frosting. I managed to uproot one of the trees and in the end did consume it, but I was visibly suffering through the entire event.

Final Note: Nothing has been confirmed just yet, but the Canadian Armed Forces may be interested in purchasing the gingerbread house for defense purposes. Rumor has it that they are looking for a economical way to attach wings to planes designed for ultra-sonic flight and possibly for use in combat helmets.

The Gingerbread House

Gingerbread house scene

Welcome to the house of gingerbread! Carefully crafted from No Name components, a skilled team of candy artisans laboured for hours perfecting each detail of this amazing creation. With working lights and a durable marshmellow base, this house is a site to behold. As you can see from the picture much effort was put into creating the realism that became the essence of the gingerbread house.

Update as of 3:30pm Dec. 4 - I have implemented a preloader in the flash animation now… so you can’t start the show without all the pictures loaded. And I also allow you the option to navigate back and forth through the pictures at your own pace. You will see a couple of arrows on each picture near the bottom… and well… if you can’t figure it out… well… don’t email me about it… and well, I think that is all I have for updates, other than I have a couple pictures I am going to put up here now.

I do have other pictures of the house, but you are going to have to wait until I get a second to upload them. Overall - a very impressive house. :P

Gingerbread house scene

OK, I just had to stick this picture up here… look at it… this was right after we Napalmed the front yard of the gingerbread house in order to flush out terrorists who had taken refuge inside. The one thing about a low-end digital camera is the often amusing lighting ‘effects’ that happen when you least expect it. Actually, I am more surprised that some of these pictures did turn out considering we took them with the lights off and it doesn’t have a flash. :)
