Fun fact: this was originally a table-based design. This box was a black table inside a blue table with a `cellpadding` of 2.
The best thing about Thursday is that it isn’t Wednesday. You heard me. :) I now don’t like Wednesday’s. Either two assignments and a test or three assignments. Not to mention that I actually have the three hours of class, and to top it all off in a beautiful way… I have four hours of work. But really… I only have three more months of this and then BANG whole new schedule :) You live and learn my friend… live and learn. ciao
Well I feel like crap. And I am desperately tired. But I have my assignments done and that is important. Classes are going… alright I guess. I will have more comics coming out hopefully this weekend. I have 3 or 4 ideas I would love to get onto digital canvas :) Seriously, I am falling asleep just sitting here… my god. well… ciao.
Well, I have been working on a few things… this cherry for instance. Oh and homework. You may see this cherry change over the next little while as I work on him some more… thank you Pepsi. :P
Hmmm… class starts tomorrow. What will become of this year… only time will tell. But I am tired and that was how three small ants made their way to the big city. Lights shone and somewhere a wolf howls to his contemporaries. A big man today. That’s not even a sentence. Bring it on.
Well, everyone is into GA44 and an epic has begun. Frosh week is in full swing or so it seems from the incessantly loud cheering going on outside. I have no problem with the cheering, per se - but what am I going to do? Kill them all… hmmm… Well seeing as how I am the only one in the building, I don’t really have any “patsies” to take the fall. It’s also labour day and I am here working… oh well that’s alright, because I am getting like $20/hour for it. All worth it in the long run.
Clearly, I am not talking enough. I think I have settled into the groove of things here in GA44… I bought an answering machine on Saturday as well as some other apartment things (wires mostly). Society is still on my black list, but there are some white listed members who have taken the time to prove their worth to me. Bah… today was content with a side of unholstered rage.
Today was interesting. I have now settled into my new place and I am now making sure that everything is going to be fine for the upcoming year. I have a call in right now to fix a problem with the ceiling in one of the rooms. My phone should be active down there by tomorrow morning. I must now go and return my old keys to Howe Hall. Alas H1228 you have served me well, but we must now part company. And this just in, the general public is getting stupider. Yes, it isn’t hard to notice, but it is starting to piss me off. But of course it seems that my job gets the worst ones, and then they want to know why the web site is down like it’s my doing. Burn all of them.
Here are some pics of my computer:
As you can see I am quite proud of this computer. I really enjoyed having the opportunity to be there for everything that she went through. Even though I didn’t build her, I gave her life and created the beautiful machine she is today.
She is beautiful inside and out. The picture of the main board is a bit blurred, but it gives you an idea of what is in there. :) On a completely unreated note, check out the flash animation I made last time I was home for the weekend. This one actually has sound, so you need to turn the speakers on for it. For those without sound cards, that sux. :)
One week until I move to the Glengary! I found out last night that Regis is going to be in apartment 42 - right across the hall from our 44. I guess I could have moved into the apartment this weekend, but with the new computer that I bought things would have been a hassel. I finally got it to work properly. I installed Win98 (gasp… the First Edition) and I will be getting Second edition today. But let me tell you, Win98 have no drivers that would work with pretty much any of my hardware. Video Card… nope. PCI bridge… nope. Ethernet adapter… nope. Luckily a couple (VC and MOBO) came with driver cds. But all in all, I had a great time getting things set up. :) I think that I will definitely love this fast babe of a machine. Even the case is better than my last one. This one has side panels instead of a one piece enclosure, and it has a blue stylizing on the front.
I’m thinking that Anna would be a good name for this delicious machine, but I’ll take other suggestions. Pictures to follow.
OK Ladies and Gents, this is it. The dawn of a new era. The Beginning of the beginning. New World Order etc etc etc etc… I have ordered the new computer. Yes I have. And what am I getting? Well, feast your eyes on the specs:
Add that to my existing Creative SB Live!, Creative Cambridge SoundWorks 1000, Dexxa Optical Mouse and 17 inch monitor, and you have a fine machine indeed. Booya, that is all. :)
Well, I have the mosquito bite and the sun burn to prove that I had a good weekend. :) Not to mention 149 photos. Yes, two nights in Gagetown, NB will change anyone :) for the better. Over the weekend I also gained an uncle and two cousins. I got to see relatives that I haven’t seen in years as well. This is all well and good you say, but who cares. Yea well, I guess I do. :P I trust everyone else’s weekend was a success. I shall hear about it on the message board either way I guess. :) -Oh by the way, the Family Guy last week was great… I didn’t get it taped, but I did watch it. This week I will get it taped. I am looking for the episodes right now online. I will let you know if I get any. :)
Well, it’s Wednesday and I am going not going to a movie this week! Of course, Final Fantasy was great and I liked Jurassic Park III, but I mean this is Family Guy. Don’t worry… I have someone who will tape all the rest of the episodes and has one of the last two taped. I will try to tape this one tonight, but who knows. I will update again tonight after the Family Guy and I will let you all know how it was. I am actually getting out of the province this weekend! So if anyone is going to be in the Gagetown, New Brunswick area either Friday or Saturday night, let me know. Other than that… have a nice day and take it easy… this is your time.
Well, I certainly got out into the sun this weekend. I now have quite the headache, but I think it is good to get out of the room every now and then… you know to show society that you are alive. Of course, society and I aren’t yet back on speaking terms. It sent a note today… but after reading it, I am still not prepared to commit to anything right away. So until then, you can find me holed up in my little room, doing some |<razy |<oding and learning new languages - but always with my music waking up the silence. So… back to work everyone. :)
Well. I now know how much we all revolve our lives around a network connection. Monday at 10:15 am the main Dalhousie router blew its power supply therefore leaving the entire campus in the proverbial dark. Programmers were sent home and the word was 8pm before we would be back in action. So we checked people in and out manually and scrambled to find out which rooms were clean and which weren’t :) And on top of it all… no ResNet! And I’m not sure if borg goes through the main router, but I imagine my site (and message.board) were down for that period… I apologize for any inconvenience.
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was excellent. I mean, it wasn’t based on any game in particular, but I left the theatre wanting to play Final Fantasy. The animation was quite unbelievable. At times, especially in the darker scenes, I really couldn’t tell that it was animated. The imagery was detailed and vibrant and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see a movie that is a little different from all the rest.
Well, off to see FF (Final Fantasy) !!! Curtis if you read this: YOU SHOULD BE WORKING! ciao
There is nothing like placing a call only to have an answering machine pick up and in a cheery voice exclaim, “TOP OF THE MORNING TO YA!!” … oh yea that’s cool. I mean, I’m all about optimism, but my god! meh… ~ ciao ~
Another beautiful day in Halifax! Except for the constant rain… and lack of water in our office. Damn ironic… wait.. wait… I’m not laughing yet. Well… we have a heat wave before I join the gym to start swimming… and afterwards it starts raining everyday and being cold. For those who haven’t heard: NEW FAMILY GUY EPISODE ON GLOBAL ON WEDNESDAY AT 10:30PM!!!! Those are the rumors anyway… help spread dissention… and the plague… tell all you know. Thank you and ciao.
Some things are hilarious. Crazy off-campus housing people are not hilarious. Hmmm… do you know what else is hilarious? Friday. This excessiveness has been brought to you by the letter H. .,-’`
OK, what is with all the people? As soon as it turns July BANG! the crazy people come out. Yes… I know I don’t help the situation, but it would be nice to cut a few people off at the knees and just keep going. Question - Is there any way to describe the sky without using the word sky (or thing)? If you have any input… let me know.
Well. I had a really great weekend. No rest, but lots of fun. I went home Friday to what I had thought would be a relaxing weekend at home. This was not to be the case, as a road trip to PEI ensued. I was really glad to see Martin and Chris again… two months is a long time. I don’t however, miss the mosquitos… more specifically, their venomous biting. I still itch in various places. Oh well. I have also started swimming again but I doubt anyone cares about that. Supper is almost ready, so I must part… ~ ciao ~ :)
Well. My tentative schedule for 2001/2002 is decided and online. It can be reached by clicking on the School link to the left. I have a pretty good one this year, if you ask me. My Tuesdays and Thursdays are late starters… which is nice to break up the week. I have decided that MWF will be my early to start gym days. I prefer swimming laps to running, but hey, I am game to do whatever if anyone else is going. Now that I think about it… I also have to fit 10 hours per week into my schedule for work. Luckily that is a 8:30 to 4:30 type of position (ie. the one I have now) so there won’t be any weird late night shifts. Don’t worry folks… my message.board and other general software projects will be scheduled in for their fair share of time with me. Have a good night.
Ok guys, this is it… the official release of my new design. I know that you guys will have something to say… so leave it in the message.board. :) Everything is not quite in place yet… a few of the graphics and features, but you can see what I have been up to while I should be doing other things. I have also started writing comics. They aren’t Penny-Arcade, but I really don’t have that kind of time. :) I know that you guys will provide all the inspiration that I need to keep the ideas coming. Anyhoo… bring on the critism! Thank you and good night. :)
Well this is it… my new site. What do you think? It is an integration of colin.main and my <uncut> page. May I introduce: cb >> main! The look is new and fresh. I like doing the designs this way. I have even started doing some illustrations for the site. This is a picture of something that happens a lot to me and pisses me off. It further reduces my opinion of the human species.
